I needed to make a card for my BIL’s 30th and today’s inspiration challenge was a perfect opportunity. I was inspired by the colors (grays with a little pop of red) and chef in this book. This card turned out exactly like I envisioned (shocker!) and I think this may just be my “go to” black birthday card!
To make this card, I cut out the gray cardstock and stamped the chef with his tray in the center. I used a template I had left over from this card (the shape of the template is pictured there as well). I put the center of the template in the center of the tray and sponged away. Then I colored and paperpieced the rest of the chef into place. The 30 was cut from my Cricut machine using the Storybook cartridge.
Stamps: Voila
Paper: GP 110, SU DP, Going Grey, Basic Grey, Black, silver dp from Mike’s
Ink: Going Grey
Accessories: Copics, Prismacolor pencils and Goo Gone, Cricut Storybook
PS: Sorry I've been away a lot this week. My kids have started their summer vacations and it was my last week as a part time worker. We spent all week visiting some of our favorite St. Louis spots! We had a blast!
Enjoy!

That is so great! I love the lines radiating from the platter.
I Love this! Love how the 30 is the shinning center!
You've got the Storybook cartridge too? Oh man that's been on my list since Christmas! That's it...I'm coming to your house to play...you have ALL the good toys! :) Hope you're having a good weekend!
Hi Michelle, I'm writing again because I wanted to show you what you've inspired me to do!
