Me and My Experiments

I have been seeing a lot of really cool cards made lately using multiple little circles. Why not try to do a scene that way? So here I am. Not sure this is the BEST way to carry this out but I think I might give this idea another whirl again soon.

I used lots of green for the Clear Dollar Stamps Think Green CIC9 challenge.

I punched out the little circles first. I stamped the little fountain and added a bit of darker color shadows with the blender pen and ink. I colored the fountain with my Versamark pen and embossed. I masked the sky area with a piece of torn paper and sponged in the grassy areas. I sponged in the sky next. I stamped the bench and added a little shadow to the bench with my blender pen. I stamped the tree trunk and then the leaves (stamping twice without touching the ink in between to give some color variation). I played with the circles a while before I came up with this layout and decided to stamp the full trees in coordinating ink on the card base (with help from my stamp-a-majig).

Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps Walk in the Park, Clear Dollar Stamps Designer Garden (sentiment)
Paper: GP 110, Certainly Celery
Ink: Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, Basic Grey, Sarah Sand, Going Grey, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Old Olive, Baja Breeze (how did I squeeze all that color into those tiny circles!)
Accessories: 1.5” circle punch, Stamp-majig, Versamark pen, clear detail embossing powder, Blender pen, White gel pen

Enjoy!
