Mojo109 Daisy with Texture

After my brayer class back in August with Michelle Zindorf, DH asked what I had learned. I grabbed the nearest supplies I had and did a little demo. I happened to have Georgia Pacific 110 lb cardstock, Old Olive ink, and Elegant Eggplant ink. I loved the effect of my little demo so I kept the sample in my idea file (ok, I really had it sitting on my stamp table all this time!). I decided to combine this look with my Oops-a-Daisies set from FireCracker Designs by Pamela and this week’s Mojo109 sketch.

So to make this background I first brayered Old Olive ink every which way across the GP 110 cardstock. This breaks all the normal brayering rules (smooth cardstock and one direction brayering) but I like the imperfections here. Next I brayered a little Elegant Eggplant on the upper and lower edges. The daisy was colored with Copics and cut out. Well that part took all of 10 minutes and then the struggle began! You know I’m not good at all this embellishment type of thing so I struggled to find the right combo of ribbon, texture, tag, etc. and I finally finished the card in about 1 hour total.

Stamps: FireCracker Designs by Pamela Oops-a-Daisies
Paper: GP 110, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Accessories: Copics, Nesties, Textile Texture embossing folder, SU ribbon, Designer Label punch

Enjoy!
