"Picture" of Us at the Beach for OCCC
Hi! I finally hung that picture of us at the beach. What do you think?
Ha! This was created for the Our Creative Corner Challenge. The image was received through a PIF from NurseChrissy (thanks Chrissy!)
For the "wall" I stamped the Stampendous Marble Texture Cube lightly around the edges of the yellow paper (stamping off on scratch paper first). Then I sponged a Going Grey shadow under and to the left of where the picture frame would be.
The "frame" is made by scoring the corners with my Score-Pal. I then masked those score lines with post it notes and sponged Chocolate Chip ink into the corners (so the score line did not get any ink). I also sponged Chocolate Chip ink around the edges of the Chocolate Chip layer.
I used Michelle Zindorf's brayered sky technique to make the sky, ocean and beach on Whisper White. I then colored the ladies with Copic Markers, cut them out, and attached them to the beach. I chose this method to keep the colors very bright! (Emboss resist would have dulled them a bit). I sponged some Going Grey on the top and to the right to create a shadow from the frame.
The "framed pic" is up on popdots and I used a brad as a "nail" and drew in the picture wire.
Stamps: Stampendous Texture Cube, Pink Cat Studios Beach Plate 1
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Bazzill
Ink: Going Grey, More Mustard, Cool Caribbean, Taken with Teal, River Rock, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: brad, fine black marker, Score-Pal, brayer, white gel pen
Enjoy!
Michelle

Adorable card Michelle!! Love the "wire and nail" you added.
What a fun piece of art! I love it. You sure are the clever one adding the frame, nail and wire! Stunning scene too.
