Posting twice in one week! Yippee!! The SCS sketch challenge used to be the one thing I never gave up and I even lost track of that lately. It felt great to play!
My DH loves margarita's so I thought this would make a fab card for his upcoming birthday.
I used the brayered sky technique to create the sand, sky, and ocean. I colored the margarita and cut it out and glued it into place. A few (messy but fun) dazzling diamonds for the "salt" on the glass.
Stamps: Amuse Margarita, CC Designs AmyR Underwater Sentiments, Sanded, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze, Taken with Teal, River Rock, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White
Accessories: White gel pen, Fiskars wave punch, Versamark pen, Heat and stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds
Enjoy!

Darling! Love the shadow in the sand of the rita!!!
Oh, so perfect!! Looks so cool and refreshing! Ahh - I am going to the beach tomorrow - and I can just see me sipping one of these while I lie under the beach umbrella thumbing through some card magazines. It's going to be 95 deg F here tomorrow. Yay!
Oh you are such a tease! LOL It is so cold and dry and to think that I could be sitting in your card (off to the left so my shadow doesn't blacken out the picture) with my toes in the warm sand, sipping on that MARVELOUS 'rita!! Oooh Lalala Next all I would need is a man with a pencil thin mustache and a cheeseburger in paradise giggles....
Once in a while, a card just seems to stand out from the rest and this card is one of them. It almost looks like an ad you would see on TV for a tropical resort vacation. It's so well done, especially the shadow of the margarita glass.
Wonderful card- perfect to make me want Spring Break to be right around the corner!!! LOL I love your colors! Yummy!.......
Hi Michelle! Love this card! You were always so good at making scenes with that brayer! I'm sure hubby will love it if it's served with an actual margarita! Happy New Year!
